Condolence From: Dr. Henry Oh
Condolence: To the Family of Shawn, please accept my sincerest condolence. I am the Dean of Respiratory therapy, and Shawn was one of our successful graduates. He passed the national board exams and earned the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) title. While completing the program, Shawn received the Clinical Excellence Award. He was one of the best students that we had in the program. We will always remember him.

Condolence From: Bradley Hays
Condolence: Shawn and I were stationed together at the New River Air Station around 2007. For 2yrs he and I had became good friends and after he had his orders to Pendleton, we continued to stay in touch. To my daughter, he was 'Uncle Shawn', and to me a real Marine Brother. We both had joined the Corps the same year, we both got out and came back in, and retired a year apart from each other. For a short period time, we were in Kandahar, Afghanistan together. My daughter and I are deeply saddened to learn of his passing. I will miss the funny phone calls, the goofy texts, and the political incorrect humor we both had in common. My sincere condolences to the Fennell Family, and his close friends to whom also had the pleasure of knowing this big hearted Marine. Semper Fidelis.
